Historical postcard – German soldiers on a torpedo boat, 1915, Alsace
Original historical postcard from the period around the First World War. On the front side of the postcard is a photograph of a group of German soldiers in uniforms, sitting on a torpedo with the inscription Donner, Hagel und Blitz Alles kommt aus dem Geschütz and the marking 42 cm. The photograph captures the atmosphere of the military garrison and the technology of that time. The reverse side is described with handwritten text, the postcard is stamped and dated 25.11.1915 Oberhoffen, Elsass (Alsace). Noticeable signs of age and use, suitable for collectors of military or historical postcards.
