Litomyšl – monument to Bedřich Smetana, postcard until 1950

Original black and white postcard depicting the monument to Bedřich Smetana on Gottwald Square in Litomyšl. The monument is the work of sculptor Jan Štursa and was unveiled in 1924 during the celebrations of the composer's 100th birthday. On the back there is a printed description and stamps after previously being pasted into an album. Photo by František Bittner. The postcard is in condition commensurate with its age, with slight wear to the edges and traces of glue. Suitable for collectors of historical postcards and lovers of Czech history and music.
