Postcard 1621–1921 – execution of Czech lords Old Town Square, Prague

A historical postcard issued in 1921 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the execution of the Czech lords on the Old Town Square in Prague. The postcard is illustrated with a black and white drawing depicting the whipping of the condemned in the background with the figure of Mikuláš Diviš. On the back is a description of the events including historical text and details of the execution on June 21, 1621. The publisher is the magazine Čechy a Řím in Prague-Karlín, issue VI.-7. A very interesting and valuable piece for collectors of historical postcards and those interested in Czech history.
