Painted postcard – genre motif, New Year's card, 1913

Older painted postcard with a genre scene of a man with a pipe, in a folk costume, with a humorous New Year's greeting. The front of the postcard has a printed nursery rhyme text and handwritten notes in the margins. The back contains handwritten text, a stamp and a Prague postmark from 1913. The postcard is intended for František Benda to Stehelčevs near Brandýsek. The condition is consistent with its age, with visible signs of wear and slight tearing in places. A beautiful collector's item for lovers of historical postcards and painted motifs.
