Postcard Chýnov Cave – historical, multi-image

The original postcard of the Chýnov Caves depicts the unique limestone caves near Chýnov. On the front side, photographs and color images present both the exterior of the cave entrance and the diverse interior spaces and stalactites. The text on the back describes the history of the discovery of the caves in 1863 and their peculiarities - the alternation of white limestone and colored amphibolites, which is why they were also known as the Painted Caves. They are among the few larger caves in Bohemia, but they are poor in stalactites. The postcard is in very nice condition, suitable for collectors or lovers of Czech historical monuments.
