Postcard Chýnov Caves – Czech Republic, color, small format

Original postcard of the Chýnov Caves, depicting the beauty of the limestone caves on the slope of Pacová Mountain near the town of Chýnov. The cave was discovered in 1863 and is known for its colorful walls formed by alternating white limestones and amphibolites. Interestingly, it used to be called the Painted Cave. The postcard depicts various parts of the caves and a group of visitors in nature. On the back is a brief description of the history and geology of the Chýnov Caves.
