Jičín – postcard, large format, used 1989

Original postcard of the city of Jičín after 1950, depicting important landmarks and parts of the city in color. On the front side there are four photographs: a historic square with a town hall and baroque buildings, a city park with a pond and swans and a typical panel building from the socialist period. The postcard is used, with stamps and a postmark from 1989, and offers a unique look into the past of the East Bohemian city known especially for its historic center, castle and fairy-tale atmosphere. The text on the back contains a description of Jičín and a personal message to the addressee.
