Postcard – Krkonoše Museum in Jilemnice, mechanical nativity scene
The postcard depicts the famous mechanical nativity scene from the Krkonoše Museum in Jilemnice, which is a unique technical work. This nativity scene was created in 1883–1913 by the director of the Jilemnice girls' school and the founder of the museum, Jáchym Metelka (1853–1940). The front of the postcard shows a detailed depiction of an elaborate nativity scene with many figures, buildings and landscape elements. The back contains information about the nativity scene, space for a stamp and address. The photograph was taken by Petr Chytrý, printed by Severografia Děčín. The postcard is in very good condition, without description, suitable for collectors and lovers of history and Czech tradition.
