Postcard Dobřany – remains of a Gothic castle, Nové Město nad Metují

The postcard depicts the remains of a Gothic castle above the Zlatý potok stream near Nové Město nad Metují in a dense forest. Dobřany Castle is one of the disappeared and disappearing monuments. In the foreground we see overgrown ramparts and walls, which today blend in with the surrounding nature. This is a black and white postcard issued by the Club of Curiosities Collectors at the ÚDA in Prague, photo by L. Kurek. The postcard is suitable for collectors of historical monuments, castles and chateaux or lovers of Czech history.
