Legionary postcard 1917 – symbol of freedom, Slavia Prague

Original historical postcard from the First World War, issued by the Legionnaires' Auxiliary Committee at the Ministry of National Defense in Prague. On the front side there is a dramatic illustration of a woman in ancient robes with a crown, holding a sword and the Czechoslovak flag, symbolizing the fight for freedom. In the background there is an army of legionnaires, which refers to the Czechoslovak legions. The drawing is signed by the artist, the creation is dated 1917. The back side is marked OFFICIELNÍ DOPOSNICE and published by Slavia Praha. The postcard is not written on or stamped, very good condition with slight traces of age. An exceptional collector's item from the period of the formation of independent Czechoslovakia.
