Postcard Zborov 1917 – Czech Druzhina, World War I

Original black and white postcard from the First World War, dated 1917. The front side depicts a scene from the front lines near Zborov with the caption Russia: front patrols of the Czech Druzhina in Zborov 1917. The postcard depicts Czech legionnaires in the trenches, one of them operating a machine gun, others sitting and resting. An authentic period photograph documents part of the famous Battle of Zborov, which was a significant event in the history of the Czechoslovak legions. The back side is clean, without written text, with space for a stamp and address. The postcard is in very good collector's condition, with only minor signs of age corresponding to a specimen that is more than a hundred years old. A great addition for collectors of legionnaire, military and historical themes.
