Postcard Mikoláš Aleš – Jan Talašús z Ostrov, governor of Tábor, 1888

Historical postcard with a work by Mikoláš Alš – Jan Talašús from Ostrov, hetman of Tábor, inked version from 1888. The postcard depicts a picturesque scene with historical figures, horses and a dog in a rural landscape, typical of M. Alš's work. On the back of the postcard there are signs of age, stains and a registration number. The postcard was published by Štencov grafický kabinett in Prague, Ferdinandova 19, under the designation XVI.9. A very interesting piece for collectors of postcards from Czech painting and thematically focused on historical themes.
