Postcard Jiří Wolker 1949 – unveiling of commemorative plaque, stamps, stamps

Original commemorative postcard issued on the occasion of the unveiling of the memorial plaque of Jiří Wolker in Tatranská Polianca in 1949. On the front side is an artistic drawing of the young Jiří Wolker, a prominent Czech poet (1900–1924). The back side contains two postage stamps – one with a portrait of Jiří Wolker and the other with a portrait of another prominent figure. There are also two commemorative stamps with the date 30. IX. 1949 and a text commemorating the ceremonial unveiling of the plaque. The text at the bottom of the back side mentions the Czech Academic Discussion as the organizer of the event. An exceptional piece for collectors of personalities and commemorative postcards, in good condition, suitable for expanding a historical collection.
