Postcard 1937 – TG Masaryk's hearse, period post office

Historical postcard from 1937 depicting a catafalque with the remains of President Liberator TG Masaryk. On the front side there is a black and white photo of a ceremonial memorial event with an honor guard. The back side contains a contemporary handwritten dedication and is stamped with a postage stamp from the First Republic (Czechoslovakia, 50 halerů) with the postmark Prague 21. IX. 37. The postcard is a valuable souvenir of an important moment in Czech history. Condition see photo – slight wear and yellowing consistent with age.
