Old postcard from the ethnographic series by Joža Uprka, Tying Scarves. Series II.C.1. Girls from Mařatice. The postcard depicts three young women in traditional Moravian costumes and brightly painted scarves, typical of the Mařatice region. This is an artistic reproduction of the work of the famous painter Joža Uprka, who became famous for his paintings of folk life in Moravia. The back of the postcard contains a handwritten message, address, stamp and postmark from the Austro-Hungarian period, dated 1918. The postcard is suitable for collectors of ethnography, Czech folklore and historical postcards. See photo for overall condition, signs of age and patina. An exceptional piece for a collection.
