Ethnographic postcard – girl in folk costume, J. Šenšek, Austria-Hungary, pasted
An old ethnographic postcard with a painted portrait of a young woman in a traditional costume. The front is decorated with a beautifully colored illustration of a girl with a red scarf, white blouse and blue skirt, painted by J. Šenšek. Text on the postcard in several languages: První mrzutost. Der erste Verdruss. Premièremuage. Pierwsze zmartwienie. The back is described with a handwritten message and franked with an Austro-Hungarian stamp worth 10 heller, with a field post stamp and the address of a member of the army. The postcard dates from the beginning of the 20th century, suitable for collectors of historical, ethnographic or military postcards. The condition corresponds to its age, see photo.
