Postcard by Jož Uprka – Chasník from Vlčnov, folklore, ethnography

Older postcard with a motif of a folklore festival based on the work of Jož Uprka – Chasník z Vlčnov (published by Josef Pilát, bookseller in Kroměříž). The postcard depicts a young man in a folk costume with a festive head decoration and vivid colors, in the background there are many other people in folk costumes at a festival. There is a handwritten message on the back, the stamp has been removed, signs of use and age (bending, abrasions). The size approximately corresponds to smaller postcard formats up to 1950. Suitable for collectors of ethnographic, folklore and art postcards. A unique example of Czech folklore and painting of the National Revival.
