Ethnographic postcard – Czech costumes, peasant entertainment, Salon Prague
An old postcard depicting traditional Czech village entertainment – dancing and sitting in folk costumes in a peasant hall. On the front side there is a richly colored drawing that depicts men and women in folk costumes dancing, playing music and having fun. In the background, a group of guests sitting at a table with mugs of beer. The postcard also has a verse text in Czech. The back side is described with a handwritten message and address of a young lady in Mončice, correspondence stamp Kamenice. The postcard bears traces of age (burrs, slight bends in the corners), but is preserved in nice collector's condition. Issued by: Salon Praha, author of the painting Jos. Douba.
