Easter ethnographic postcard 1909 – countryside, folk costumes, Easter eggs
Original Easter postcard from the early 20th century. On the front side there is a colored drawing depicting a traditional Czech rural Easter scene - several country girls in folk costumes are sitting on the grass with Easter eggs, in the background we see boys in folk costumes with pomlázky. Behind the house with a thatched roof, a fence and trees underline the atmosphere of the countryside. On the postcard there is the inscription Veselé Velikonoce. The back side is described, provided with a stamp and a postmark from 1909. The postcard is in collector's interesting condition, with minor traces of postal circulation. An exceptional ethnographic document of Czech holidays and customs.
