Original black and white postcard from May 1945 depicting a place of worship with improvised graves on the pavement during the liberation of Czechoslovakia at the end of World War II. The picture shows a cross, flowers and mourners, in the background an inscription dedicated to those who fell in the fight for freedom. On the back is the description May 1945. Trenches on the pavement. . The postcard is issued by the Union of Friends of the USSR in Czechoslovakia and bears all the period marks. Excellent documentary collector's condition suitable for historians, history lovers or postcard collectors.
