Easter postcard by O. Cihelka – ethnography, folk costume, 1940

Easter postcard with an ethnographic scene motif, probably by the artist O. Cihelka (signed lower left). The front side depicts a woman in traditional costume. The back of the postcard is hand-written, contains Easter greetings and a postmark from Prague dated 20. 3. 1940. The postcard also has a period stamp Böhmen und Mähren. Slight wear consistent with age, an interesting collector's item documenting Czech Easter traditions and ethnography of the first half of the 20th century.
