Ethnographic postcard by K. Šimůnek – New Year's, 1935, folk costumes

Original New Year's postcard with an ethnographic theme by the famous cartoonist K. Šimůnek. The front side shows a cheerful scene with two celebrating girls in folk costumes and a clock face counting down the minutes to the new year. The text Happy New Year! and rich folk decoration add to the cheerful atmosphere. The back side contains a drawn address panel, a handwritten dedication from 1935 and a Czechoslovakia postage stamp. A great collector's item with a folklore theme and historical value.
