Easter postcard 1947 – ethnographic, folk costumes, traditions
An old Easter postcard from 1947 depicting a traditional rural scene with young people in costumes during Easter celebrations. The black and white image shows boys and girls in folk clothing in nature, part of the view is dedicated to traditional customs of spring holidays - probably whipping with a whip. On the front side is the inscription Veselé Velikonoce. The back side contains a contemporary dedication, is provided with a postage stamp and a postmark from April 5, 1947. The postcard is an authentic document of Czech Easter tradition and folk culture of the first half of the 20th century.
