Postcard Zvíkov Castle above the confluence of the Vltava and Otava rivers
A colorful postcard with the motif of Zvíkov Castle, located on a promontory above the confluence of the Otava and Vltava rivers. Zvíkov Castle was founded at the end of the reign of King Přemysl Otakar I, around 1230, and is an important monument of early Gothic castle architecture in Bohemia. The postcard captures the beautiful scenery of the castle surrounded by the water surface of the Orlická Dam and the surrounding nature with boats on the river. The text on the back is multilingual (Czech, Russian, German, English, French) with a historical description of the castle. Published by Orbis, photo by Miroslav Renč, printed by Severografia Děčín. The postcard shows traces of normal wear consistent with its age.
The text description is for guidance only and may not always be 100% accurate - what you see in the photos is what matters.
