Original old postcard depicting the famous Saint-Bénézet Bridge (Pont d Avignon) in Avignon, France. In addition to a black and white photograph of the bridge, the postcard also features musical notation and the lyrics of a famous song about the bridge. In the upper part is a detailed historical description of the bridge's construction, which began in 1177 at the instigation of the shepherd Bénézet. The bridge originally had 19 arches, a smaller part has been preserved today. From a collector's perspective, this is an interesting piece with artistic and historical value.
