SAINTES - Tour du Gué de l Horloge, old postcard, circa 1918
An old postcard from the early 20th century, depicting the clock tower (Tour de l'Horloge) in the town of Saintes in the Charente-Inférieure region (now Charente-Maritime), France. The postcard dates from around 1918 according to the handwritten date on the back. On the front is a black and white print of the clock tower, which was once part of the town's fortifications and now serves as the access gate to the local library. On the back is a standard Carte Postale layout. Printed and published by F. Braun, Royan (Charente-Inférieure). Condition very good, no major damage, just normal age.
