Lourdes – La Grotte, colored old postcard with pilgrims

Original old postcard from the French pilgrimage site of Lourdes – La Grotte (Cave). The front side shows the place of the apparition of the Virgin Mary, where pilgrims gather at the statue. The postcard is colored, capturing the atmosphere of the pilgrimage site with visitors at the metal fence by the cave. On the back side there is a handwritten text and an address to Czechoslovakia, a stamp from Lourdes. The postcard shows signs of age, minor wear and soiling in the corners, otherwise in very solid collector's condition. Suitable for collectors of thematic postcards of France, pilgrimage sites or religious themes.
