Old postcard 1899 - Teutonic warrior, castle, Bund der Deutschen in Böhmen
I am offering an old collector's postcard with a motif of a German warrior holding a shield with the inscription Bund der Deutschen in Böhmen (Union of Germans in Bohemia). In the background is a romantic castle above the river and natural scenery. On the front side of the postcard is a quote by Fr. Ludwig Jahn: Deutsches Volk, du herrlichstes von allen, deine Eichen stehn, du wirst nie fallen. The postcard is hand-written and was sent by post, as evidenced by the postmark and stamp from 1899. An exceptional piece for collectors of historical postcards with the theme of castles and chateaux and German ethnicity in Bohemia. Condition see photo, slight signs of age, well preserved.
