Helgoland – Germany, historical postcard 1911, surf at the aquarium

Original historical postcard from Germany – HELGOLAND, Brandung am Aquarium (surf at the aquarium). The postcard captures a dramatic moment when huge waves crash onto the shore near the distinctive buildings at the aquarium on the island of Helgoland. On the front side you will find a black and white photograph with an authentic atmosphere of the early 20th century. The postcard is postmarked, on the back side there is a handwritten text, a German postmark HELGOLAND, date 7. 8. 1911 and a German stamp of value 5 Pfennig. An ideal addition to a collection of historical postcards and period life in northern Germany. Condition is consistent with age – minor signs of use (see photo).
