Postcard Berlin DDR 1973 - collage of monuments, postmarked
Original postcard from Berlin, the capital of the former German Democratic Republic (GDR). On the front side there is a collage of famous Berlin monuments and places: Museum für Deutsche Geschichte, Uraniasäule - Haus des Lehrers, Ermeler-Haus, Karl-Marx-Allee with the TV tower, Unter den Linden and An der Fischerinsel. The postcard was printed in 1973 and was actually sent with handwritten text and a DDR stamp worth 10 pfennigs. A great historical collector's item documenting the architecture and atmosphere of East Berlin in the 1970s. Condition see photo, corresponds to normal circulation, partially damaged corners, previously used by post.
