Geneva - waterfront and lighthouse on the shore of Lake Geneva, historic postcard
A historical postcard depicting a waterfront, lighthouse and a sailboat on Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) in Switzerland. The postcard depicts a peaceful atmosphere by the water, a woman in period dress stands in the foreground and several people, including children and fishermen, can be seen on the shore. A white boat is sailing on the left side and swans are on the surface. The color scheme of the postcard is preserved in soft pastel shades, typical of the early 20th century. The back is described with handwritten text and is intended for an address to Haslau. Publisher: Roger Diserens, Edit. Genève. The postcard shows minor signs of age, which adds to its charm and collector's value. A beautiful piece for a collection of postcards from Switzerland or of lake and city waterfront motifs.
The text description is for guidance only and may not always be 100% accurate - what you see in the photos is what matters.
