Nitra – old postcard with a castle, 1947, small format

I am offering an old postcard depicting a panoramic view of the Slovak city of Nitra with the dominant Nitra Castle in the middle. The postcard is black and white, in very nice condition, with eye-catching details of the then landscape and architecture. On the back is a Czechoslovak postage stamp with a portrait and a NITRA postmark from 1947, including a handwritten message and address. The postcard is marked with a period Slovakolour stamp with a value of 20 haller. A great collector's item capturing the atmosphere of post-war Slovakia and the historical value of the city of Nitra.
