Piešťany, parade of Infanterists, old ethnographic postcard
Original old postcard from Piešťany titled Procession of the Infantrymen. The front side depicts a traditional scene with stretchers in the Piešťany spa, where men in folk costumes transport patients on stretchers, accompanied by women in local folk costumes. This is an ethnographically valuable image documenting traditions and spas in Slovakia in the first half of the 20th century. The postcard was sent, is stamped with the Piešťany stamp and has a 50-haller stamp of Czechoslovakia with Masaryk. There is written text on the back. The postcard was published by JKO, Prague. A beautiful collector's item for lovers of history, spas and Slovak folklore.
