Original postcard with the motif of Dr. E. Beneš Square in the city of Poprad in Slovakia. The postcard dates from around 1947, as evidenced by the postmark (28. 11. 1947) and the Slovak stamp of Czechoslovakia. On the front side there is a beautiful period view of a fountain, surrounded by classic urban development with shops and pedestrians. The back side contains a handwritten dedication and address, the postcard was sent to Pilsen. A great collector's item documenting the atmosphere of the Slovak city in the mid-20th century.
