Historical postcard Vienna 1683 – attack on Löwelbastei
Postcard with a historical motif depicting the attack of Kara Mustafa's troops during the siege of Vienna in 1683. On the left is the dominant tower of St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. The postcard is titled Die Scharen Kara Mustaphas stürmen die Löwelbastei. 1683 (Kara Mustapha's Crowds Attack the Löwelbastei, 1683). It is an artistically rendered scene of the conquest of the city walls during one of the most famous battles in European history. On the back is the text Katholikentagskarte der Akademikerhilfe Wien VIII. Pfeilgasse 6 . The postcard is in collector's condition, with slight wear and bends in the corners. Suitable for collectors of historical postcards or those interested in Austrian history.
