Art postcard Bacchanalia – Adolf Jelínek, sent, Austria-Hungary
Older art postcard titled Bacchanalie. On the front of the postcard is a black and white etching by Adolf Jelínek depicting a bacchanalia scene - a mythological celebration with many figures, some partially clothed, others naked, in a striking composition with a dramatic lighting effect in the upper left corner. The postcard was sent, on the back is an Austrian stamp (10 heller), handwritten text and a stamp. Issued by the Bístský Art Salon, Prague. The postcard can also be classified as a collector's item of art or historical postcards. The condition is consistent with its age, with slight edge wear and yellowing of the paper.
The text description is for guidance only and may not always be 100% accurate - what you see in the photos is what matters.
