Postcard Jean-François Millet – The Gleaners (Les glaneuses), Louvre
Postcard with a reproduction of the famous painting The Gleaners (Les glaneuses) by the French painter Jean-François Millet (1814–1875). The painting is one of the iconic works of art of the 19th century and depicts three women gathering ears of corn in a field. The postcard was published by the Musée du Louvre (École Française), no. 644. On the back there is a description in several languages, including Czech. See photo for condition – fine traces of use and small spots, the back is scuffed in places. A great addition to a collection of postcards with the theme of painting or reproductions of famous works.
