Postcard Der Feuerzauber (Wagner, Brünnhilde) – old color motif
Older postcard with a motif from German mythology or opera - a scene called Der Feuerzauber (The Fire Magic), which is a reference to a scene from Richard Wagner's famous opera The Ring of the Nibelung. The postcard is richly colored and depicts a woman in flames, probably the Valkyrie Brünnhilde. On the back you will find German text: Herauf, wabernde Lohe, Umlodre mir feurig den Fels! The postcard was probably issued around the beginning of the 20th century. The condition corresponds to its age - small stains in places, corners slightly worn. An unusual piece for collectors of motifs from mythology, opera or German culture.
The text description is for guidance only and may not always be 100% accurate - what you see in the photos is what matters.
