Postcard Mikoláš Aleš: Gypsies – ethnography, Minerva Prague
Old collector's postcard with a motif from a work by Mikuláš Alš, called "Gypsies". The postcard is a reproduction of a well-known illustration depicting a Romani family in a camp, with children, a woman and a man playing the violin. Next to it, a horse and tents can be seen in the background, the scene is a typical ethnographic depiction from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Published by Minerva, Prague, Spálená 48. The postcard is unused, in very good collector's condition, slight wear on the corners is consistent with its age. A very interesting piece for collectors of ethnographic postcards or fans of the work of Mikuláš Alš.
