Historical postcard Volhynia 1917 – Wolhynische Städtebilder, Feldpost, unused
Original historical postcard titled Wolhynische Städtebilder (Volhynian Cities), series 1, issued during World War I for the field post (Feldpostkarte). The watercolor painting depicts a typical street and architecture of the city with dominant Orthodox churches and a lively street. In the lower left is the signature and the year 1917. The postcard has not been used, the reverse is clean with a German description and the publisher's mark Karl Harbauer, Wien und Leipzig. Excellent collector's condition considering its age. Suitable for collectors of historical postcards and militaria, unique atmosphere of Eastern Europe at the beginning of the 20th century.
