Vision at the Bridge Tower – old postcard, Prague, legend
Original old postcard titled Vision at the Bridge Tower. The postcard depicts an allegorical scene according to legend, when an unfortunate mother in a white dress visits the Bridge Tower, where the heads of the executed were placed on a block, among which were her sons. The artistic treatment evokes a melancholic atmosphere, the illustration is elaborate in detail and belongs to the interesting collector's items depicting Prague history and legends. On the back there is an explanatory text for the motif. Published by prof. J. Lepscher, publ. FJ Jedlička in Prague. The postcard is in good collector's condition, unused, only minor signs of age.
