I am offering a collector's postcard with a reproduction of the famous painting by the French painter Claude Joseph Vernet (1714–1789) entitled Shipwreck. The postcard comes from the edition of the National Gallery in Prague and was published by Orbis Praha. On the front side there is a dramatic scene of a shipwreck on a stormy sea, in the foreground are visible figures trying to save themselves from the wreckage. The postcard has a traditional size, was published in the last century and is suitable for a collection, or as study material. Condition according to scans - slightly yellowed paper, light wear corresponding to age. Very interesting motif of water and maritime transport, suitable for collectors of thematic postcards.
