Postcard From Czech History No. 4 by Mikoláš Alš, 1903

Older postcard from the edition Z Českých dějin No. 4 by Mikoláš Aleš. The color illustration depicts a historical scene with characters in costumes from the Hussite period; one of the characters is sitting at a table with food and drink, the other is leaving the room armed with weapons. The postcard has a quote: Who are the warriors of God and his law, pray to God for help and hope in him... The postcard is signed M. Aleš 1903. On the back is a portrait of Mikoláš Aleš and his signature. Published by F. Velím, Prague, old print. The postcard bears signs of age and patina.
