Easter postcard - Resurrection of Jesus, used, Czechoslovakia until 1950
Easter postcard from the first half of the 20th century, depicting the biblical scene of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The painted motif captures the moment of the resurrection and Roman soldiers watching. On the front side it bears the inscription Veselé velikonoce. The back side contains a period postage stamp Czechoslovakia worth 50 haller, address and handwritten message. Publisher: Umělecké pospetnice akad. mal. Věnc. Černý. The postcard is used, with authentic signs of age and postal service - a suitable collector's item illustrating Easter traditions and religious themes in interwar Czechoslovakia.
