Old painted view – Prague, Prague Castle and Charles Bridge, CV Muttich, until 1950
Original old postcard from the period before 1950. The postcard shows a night view of Prague Castle and Charles Bridge across the Vltava River, the painting was created by painter CV Muttich. On the left is the silhouette of St. Vitus Cathedral, along the shore you can see boats and bridge arches in the glow of night lighting, all in a very elegant and atmospheric painterly stylization. Text on the front of the postcard: Notre Dame Cathedral in Prague - Notre Dame Kirche in Paris... in several languages, which gives the postcard an international touch. The condition of the postcard corresponds to its age and shows signs of light wear, the reverse side is clean with no written text. Suitable for collectors of postcards of old Prague or lovers of historical painted views.
