Postcard Mount Říp and the rotunda of St. George – 12th century, 1995 stamps
Postcard with a motif of the famous Říp Mountain and the Romanesque rotunda of St. George and St. Adalbert from the 12th century. On the front side there is a general view of Říp Mountain with the rotunda in the foreground in beautiful weather. The back side contains commemorative stamps (Říp National Cultural Monument, Říp Tourist Lodge), a handwritten date (30. 9. 1995) and the famous inscription: What was Mecca to Muhammad, Říp should be to a Czech. The postcard was published by the Monument Institute in Ústí nad Labem, photo Roman Kurša, printed by Grafiatisk Děčín. Without a stamp, suitable for a collection of lovers of the Czech Republic and historical postcards.
