Roudnice nad Labem – state castle, aerial view

Original postcard depicting the state chateau in Roudnice nad Labem. The postcard is in color, the aerial shot captures the entire chateau and its surroundings with part of the town and the river in the background. Published by Orbis Praha Publishing House. On the back is a brief description of the history of the chateau – originally a Romanesque castle from around 1230, the Baroque building in four wings was built in 1652-84 under the leadership of Italian architects. The postcard was photographed by E. Vasiliak. Very well preserved, with only minor signs of age in places.
