Budějovice, Kreissgasse after sunset, painted motif, 1911
Old postcard with a motif of the city of České Budějovice (Budweis), specifically a view of Kreissgasse (today Radniční Street) in the direction of sunset. The postcard was created based on a painting by Gustav Brauner and is a beautiful example of postal history from the Austro-Hungarian period, which is also evidenced by a period stamp and a postmark from Budějovice. Printed in the year of dispatch 1911. On the front side there is a detailed illustration of the city's architecture with the church tower in the background, an atmospheric evening view. The front and back sides are in very good condition, only minor signs of age. A great collector's item for lovers of historical postcards of South Bohemian cities.
