Košice – Cathedral of St. Elizabeth, historical postcard until 1950

Old postcards of Košice – the dominant feature is the Cathedral of St. Elizabeth on Hlavní ulice (Kassa, today's Košice, Slovakia). The postcard dates from the Austro-Hungarian period, as evidenced by the German and Hungarian text: Kassa a Főutcai alsó parkrészlet Dommal . The front side nicely captures the historical atmosphere of the city and the Gothic architecture of the church itself. The back side is without a stamp and text, only with a handwritten description of the place. The postcard is in collector's condition corresponding to its age – obvious traces of use and age (yellowed, small stains). An excellent historical monument depicting a view of Košice and its most important monument before 1950. THE POSTCARD IS UNPLUGGED, THE BACK SIDE IS MISSING, SO IT IS ONLY THIN PAPER
