Postcard of the 6th All-Sokol Festival in Prague 1912, Czech village of Sokolská

Original postcard issued for the 6th All-Sokol Gathering in Prague in 1912. The postcard depicts a symbolic allegory of the Sokol tradition – the figure of a young gymnast with a banner, a laurel wreath and a falcon, against the background of the Czech tricolor. The inscriptions on the postcard are in Czech and French. On the back is printed the note Postcard of the Czech Sokol Community for the 6th All-Sokol Gathering in Prague 1912 and the emblem 1862–1912. The author of the poster design is Prof. Fr. Urban. The postcard is in good collector's condition, with minor signs of age and slight yellowing. A great addition to a collection of postcards with the theme of Sokol, the Czech Republic or sports clubs.
